COMMON QUESTIONS FOR MORMONS, JEHOVAH WITNESSES, SEVEN DAY ADVENTISTS (SDA), BAPTIST, CATHOLICS
- Do you have a relationship with God - In other words do you hear Him? (John 10:27)
- Do you embrace or deny the power of God? (2 Tim 3:5)
- Should we or can we imitate God and what does that look like? (Eph. 5:1; 1 John 4:17; 1 Cor. 11:1)
- Are miracles important part of sharing the good news? (1 Cor. 15:3; Mark 16:17-19)
- Where is the Kingdom of God, in us and future time or only a future time? (Luke 17:20-21)
- What did Paul mean Kingdom of God is not in word but Power? (1 Cor. 4:20; 2:5)
- Who is Holy Spirit that Yeshua would send to teach us? (John 14:16, 26; Acts 13:2-5)
- What are the gifts of the Spirit for the believer and church? (Mark 16:16-19 believers, 1 Cor. 12-14 Church)
- Do you desire spiritual gifts?(1 Cor. 14:1- tongues, prophecy, interpret tongues etc)
- What are the conditions to speaking in Tongues? (Mark 16:17)
- Are you personally endued with Power to witness Yeshua? (Acts 1:8)
- Have you blasphemed Holy Spirit when you ignore his work and miracles? (Mark 3:29)
- Is it important to be baptized in Holy Spirit after water Baptism like the early church? (Acts 19:6)
- What does Yeshua mean when He says “no one comes to the father except through Him” (John 14:6)? (John 6:27)

- What is the difference between Joseph Smith and Mohamed – they saw an Angel of light, said the Bible had errors and Christ was not the only way?
- If book of Mormon contradicts the Bible which one holds true?
JEHOVAH WITNESSES
THEIR BIGGEST OBJECTIONS
- Trinity is not true: Yeshua is Michael the Archangel, a created being, not God - Reply: Yeshua everlasting: Prov. 8:22-23; Mic. 5:2; John 1:1; and God 1 Tim 3:16; and He is above the angels not same as Heb. 1:4-9.
- Holy Spirit is a force not a person – Reply: Yeshua not a force neither is Holy Spirit John 14:16, 26; Acts 13:2-5
FOUNDATIONAL QUESTIONS THEY SHOULD ANSWER
- Isn’t Watchtower a false prophet as defined by scripture: e.g. many false prophecies about Yeshua coming and didn’t?
- What is the difference between an organization like the Watch tower and the Catholics – don’t both members surrender to the authority of Pope or Watchtower more than the scriptures?
- Doesn’t the watch Tower want to replace or be the work of Holy Spirit like the Catholic Church? (1 Jh 2:26)
SEVEN DAY ADVENTISTS (SDA), BAPTIST, CATHOLICS
THEIR BIGGEST OBJECTIONS
- (SDA) No Heaven for believers. Soul sleep after death and will come back one day to be judged – Reply: Luke 16:19-31.
- (Baptist) Once saved always saved – Reply: Rev 2 & 3 Yeshua talking to the church.
- (Catholics) Need works to get into Heaven – Reply: Eph. 2:8-10
FOUNDATIONAL QUESTIONS THEY SHOULD ANSWER
- Catholics: What is more important as truth – the Bible or the Pope’s statements?
- SDA: Was there a woman in the scripture who provided scriptural doctrines like Ellen White the foundation of SDA? (1 Tim 3)
- Baptists: If blaspheming the Holy Spirit was bad by the Pharisees how much worse do you think for believers to speak against His work or quench Him? (Mk 3:29)
PENTECOSTAL, WORD OF FAITH
SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
- What are you doing for the Kingdom of God? (Matt. 25; Mark 16:16-19)
- What does holy in all your conduct mean (1 Pet 1:16; 2:17)?
- What is one of Holy Spirit’s roles? (Ezek 11:19-20)
- Is the Law of God good and holy? (Rom. 7:7-12) If so should we keep them? (1 Cor. 7:19)
- Would the early church know the commandments of God? (2 Tim. 3:16)
- Those who practice lawlessness will not go to Heaven, what does law – less - ness mean? (Matt. 7:21-24)
- Is it ok for a believer to continue to sin and what defines sin? (1John 3:4)
THEIR BIGGEST OBJECTIONS
Don’t need to do any works to get into Heaven and therefore don’t need to keep the law – Reply: Matt. 7:21-24; 25:1-40; 1 Cor. 7:19; Rev 2 & 3.
